Job Description

The Project Manager (PM) will execute the project’s implementation at the school level and be responsible for the focused implementation of the program in the intervention schools to deliver significant gains in Student Learning Outcomes and Classroom Practices in the intervention 20+ school portfolio. They will be responsible for:

● Building and maintaining relationships with HMs to create buy-in for the program and resolve bottlenecks in implementation

● Deliver high-impact school-level interventions at the teacher, including classroom observations, actionable feedback, instructional skill building, and assessment-informed instruction through daily-weekly school visits

● Using data on student learning and classroom observations to continuously improve program quality, identify breakdowns and create action plans for improvement in their allocated school portfolio

● Work with the Project Lead to create daily-weekly school visit plans, review & reflect on their own performance and identify priorities for the future

Desired experience and skills: The ideal candidate will bring 2-4 years of field-level school improvement experience in non-profit or educational product organisations, with a track record of improving student outcomes and teacher capacity. They should also be comfortable in tier 3-4 locations and have extensive travel experience to interior field locations.

● Hands-on academic expertise in foundational literacy and numeracy, teacher training, classroom observations, instructional coaching and student assessments in the government or low-income school contexts. Bachelors/Master’s degree in education, child development or related fields is preferred.

● Knowledge, maturity and confidence to influence teachers by building trusting relationships, providing pragmatic academic solutions, influencing practice shifts through the use of classroom data

● Ability to drive actionable insights from data through analysis of classroom observations and student assessment data to identify breakdowns and create pragmatic solutions

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills both in English and Hindi and the ability to communicate complex academic concepts in a simple, practical manner; familiar with data and reporting tools and processes ● Ability to work independently, deal with ambiguity and in a planned manner
