Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Fundraising Head to lead our fundraising efforts and drive sustainable financial growth for our client. As the Fundraising Head, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that attract donors, sponsors, and partners. You will build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring long-term commitment and support for the organization’s mission and vision.
Key Responsibilities:
Fundraising Strategy Development:
Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive fundraising strategies to support organizational goals.
Conduct market research to identify potential sources of funding and new opportunities.
Set clear fundraising goals and ensure the execution of strategies to meet or exceed targets.
Donor Relationship Management:
Cultivate and maintain relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, foundations, and government entities.
Develop personalized communication and engagement strategies for high-value donors and partners.
Acknowledge donor contributions and ensure donors feel valued and appreciated.
Grant Writing and Proposal Development:
Identify and apply for relevant grants and funding opportunities from government, foundations, and corporate partners.
Lead the creation of compelling proposals, reports, and other written materials required for fundraising efforts.
Event Planning and Management:
Oversee the planning, organization, and execution of fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives.
Ensure events are executed seamlessly and effectively, generating maximum revenue and donor engagement.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
Lead and manage the fundraising team, providing mentorship and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Work closely with the marketing, communications, and program teams to align fundraising efforts with organizational priorities.
Collaborate with senior leadership to develop long-term fundraising goals and strategies.
Budgeting and Financial Management:
Develop and manage fundraising budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and accountability.
Track fundraising revenue and report regularly to the board and senior leadership on performance and progress toward goals.
Donor Communications and Stewardship:
Oversee the creation of donor communications, including newsletters, annual reports, and acknowledgment letters.
Build a stewardship program to engage and retain donors for long-term giving.
Data and Analytics:
Use data analytics to assess the effectiveness of fundraising campaigns and make data-driven decisions.
Maintain donor database and manage donor engagement activities to ensure a high level of donor satisfaction and retention.
Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure all fundraising activities comply with legal, ethical, and regulatory requirements.
Provide regular reports on fundraising performance to the board of directors and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Marketing, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience: At least 7-10 years of experience in fundraising or development, with a proven track record in leading successful fundraising campaigns and building donor relationships.
Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
